I think it’s really amazing that the Adam Walsh case is finally able to be closed.  I can’t even imagine having something of that magnitude happen to me, and just never knowing who did it.  In my mind, I would picture waking up everyday just waiting for something to happen, but not knowing if it would ever really be carried out.

Out of the tragedy came the popular television show, America’s Most Wanted, which has helped with putting a lot of criminals behind bars.  Even though you know that you are doing something good for people, I would think it would be hard doing the show knowing that your son’s killer is still out there somewhere. For those who may not know, Adam Walsh’s father, John Walsh started America’s Most Wanted.

That video absolutely breaks my heart. I can’t believe he was only 11 years old, and he sounded more mature and logical than I think I would be in that situation.

It’s interesting, I saw that on Yahoo news, and then right under it I saw a news story about the killing rampage in Mumbai that just happened. This world just amazes me sometimes, and not in a good way. You see one video that makes you believe that people are good and care about their fellow people on this earth, and then you read an article about people going on rampages, killing innocent people. I just will never understand how groups of people can do that to other people, and for what?

Okay, I’m sure by now this is all over the internet. Basically a woman sat on a toilet for TWO YEARS before her boyfriend called for help. While talking to my brother about this I realized that I really have a lot of questions about this. Questions that I feel should be answered. Like, did she have a television or a computer in there? What if they only had one bathroom, where did her husband go? How did she wash her hands / get clean? Did she ever change the clothes she had on? Was she a larger woman or skinny? Did she read in there? What about sleeping? Did she have a whole set up with blankets and pillows? These are just things that I need to know.

My favorite part of the article is this:

McFarren, 36, told investigators he took Babcock food and water and asked her every day to come out of the bathroom.

“And her reply would be, ‘Maybe tomorrow,’” Whipple said. “According to him, she did not want to leave the bathroom.”

WHO would just be like “Oh okay honey, stay in there for as long as you want!” I would also NOT be bringing her food or water. But then again, I also wouldn’t let her sit there past oh…8 hours or so.
