Tom and I watched his nephew last night since his sister had to work and Christian’s dad couldn’t watch him. He got in a bar fight probably about a year ago, this guy smashed a beer bottle off of his face. He probably deserved it too. Anyways, he had to go Tuesday to get some nerve block thing done. So he told Tom’s sister he couldn’t watch his son on Saturday because he would be in so much pain. Okay fine. Then please tell me WHY Friday night the three of them went to a haunted house and hayride. So, you can’t watch your son, but you can go to a haunted house? Can you tell I don’t like him?
Christian and Tom went fishing earlier in the day, and I came over around 7 or so. He was being very whiny and just being very annoying. So what’s the best way to solve that we thought? Give him candy. And lots of it. He was being so funny, we were giving him chocolate bars, mike n’ ikes, marshmallows, anything we could find we were feeding him. He was sitting up on the counter, and I was standing there watching him, all of a sudden he stands up and just starts saluting. It was so bizarre I’ve never seen him do that before. He was dancing around and laughing, it was great. He finally crashed right after his mom showed up.
Which reminds me of a time when he was really little, probably not more then a year and a half old. They were both still living at Tom’s house, and he woke up one night around 1 in the morning crying. His mom didn’t get up, but a bunch of us (Tom’s mom, Tom, me, some friends) were still up. So we went in her room, took him out and started feeding him cake. She finally woke up and came out to the kitchen and saw her son sitting there, at 1:30 in the morning eating cake. She wasn’t happy. I guess that’s what Uncles and Grandma’s are there for though.
Oh, and do any of you have retail jobs that aren’t too bad? I really don’t want to work while I’m in school, but I need some money for Christmas presents and the what not. I don’t want a place where I’m on call for 3 hour shifts 5 days a week.
